The department of library at Devki Devi Jain
Memorial College, Ludhiana celebrated World Book Day and Copyright Day on April
23, 2022. Librarian Ms. Sukhvir Kaur familiarized the students about the
significance of copyright day and world book day. While putting light on the
history of copyright, she further added that it is a legal way to protect the
original creative work. She elaborated on how students can use the e-resources
for their notes. She shared the link of college library blog with the students
from where they can check out news regarding college events and various
services available at the library.
Apart from
this, three teachers Mrs. Rajwinder Kaur, Head of the Department of Punjabi, Ms.
Gurdish Kaur from Hindi Department, Ms. Harsoch Kaur from History department
and 6 students viz. Ms. Divya of B.A
III, Ms. Ankita Singh, Ms. Pooja, Ms. Manisha, Ms. Preety, Ms. Afreen of B.A II
and Ms. Kavita Devi of M.A II (Hindi) were felicitated with the Best Library
User Award for visiting the library and reading there on regular basis. They
were given books from the department of library to encourage the other users to
come to the library regularly.
